FAQ
1. Kein. In some way KEIN is an attempt of self-excoriating.
Join project of electronic musician Vlad Buben and writer/performance artist Illa Sin has been started in 2000 for mixing industrial music and transgressive literature. In this way it`s first album Short Manual For Transportation Of Fallen Swallow`s Bodies Into The Territory Of Rotten Europe was recorded. And while preparing numerous soundtracks for Sin`s existential clownery project Psychical Disbalance Theatre SICK-INDUSTRIAL appeared. The album sicksicksick (2006) is a kind of manifestation of this approach.
2. Sick-industrial. No logic, no strength, no plenitude. Delirium and obsession. This music is natural (and almost physical) reaction upon our sickness and self-made distance from the plenitude in God.
The album was formed on some existential basis and deals with real spiritual problems. But we do not hope to explore them in a proper direct way. Instead of it we are interested in liberating psychophysical reaction upon spiritual life.
Despite all of this and everything else it`s just a music.
3. Pathos. We declaim it and prefer tragicomic and sarcastic way of manifesting. It`s obviously truer.
4. Ideology. We`re not involved in any of them. Our music is the way of individual expression only.
5. Key words. Sickness, slavery of flesh, melted fat, decomposition, sharp pieces of ice, insensibility, hope for communicating, Silence of God.
6. Participants. Vlad Buben is known for his numerous solo projects (BUBEN, I ME MINE, PRUS, SHKVARKA etc.) realized their albums by labels all over Europe, and collaborations with other musicians. Illa Sin is an author of books Illa Sin is dead (1997), 0 (2002) and Spoiled Puppets (2006). In 1997 he founded existential clownery project Psychical Disbalance Theatre.
7. NB. Probably it`s the first noise/industrial record where real Catholic monk and priest participated! Thanks to dear Sister Viktoria from Studit Order and father Andrew Bujnich for the LIGHT OF GOD they brought to this stupid chaos.
